The Russian Duma, the lower house of the Parliament, introduced restrictions to the slot machines, casinos and gambling businesses related to the flourishing gaming industry in this country.

The members of the Duma voted 305 to 105 in a first round to approve the law, something that will prohibit minors to enter casinos and other gambling establishments, and will remove slot machines from subway stations and other public places, such as airports and train stations.

Created by the Unique Party of Russia, the law will also regulate some operations with regards to this business, and will establish some specific requirements for casinos and slot machines establishments.

Taking into account that the gambling business is growing fast all along the country, the project also sets up a maximum number of casino establishments allowed in each of the Federation’s 88 states, which are only allowed to have a casino or slot machines site every 200,000 habitants.
