According to the vice-president and spokeswoman of the regional government, María Jesús Ruíz, from early this year and until 2008, 117 new licenses will be granted yearly.

The vice-president said the limitation answers to the problems that occurred in 2002, when the slots offer exceeded the demand. Today there are a total of 16.757 granted licenses in the region.

The Technical Commission, boroughs and different gaming sectors have studied this new decree.
