Slots machines strike finishes in Argentinian provinces

After ten days on strike, slot machines operators from provincial casinos decided to give up their fight to receive the 3% of slots profits.

The solution for this situation arose after a very long meeting held on Monday night, between authorities of the Instituto Provincial de Loterías y Casinos, and the personnel of the Administración, Maestranzas y Servicios de Casinos and the Asociación Empleados de Casinos.

The only way to stop slot machines from their more and more frequent appearance in groceries and other shops is to present formal complaints to the Government Secretary (Segob), according to Genaro Almeida Pérez, representative of that State Office.

The police say the criminal or criminals walked out the door at 2919 E. 14th St., taking more than $2,400. These popular gaming machines have suffered many thefts recently, of which this was the latest.

According to Police Lt. Ray Rexroat, a customer came out of a gaming area and told a clerk some one had tampered with one of the machines.

State gaming board continues stalemate on slot machines suppliers

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has failed to make any progress resolving its differences over how to license slot machine distributors, also known as slot suppliers.

And it may be forced to extend its deadline for stand-alone casinos and resort hotel casinos to apply for a gaming license.

Chairman Tad Decker said yesterday that the seven-member board is still at odds over whether to divide the state into two regions for suppliers to operate in or whether to keep the state as a whole, where any interested slot machine supplier company could operate...
